“Spectrum continues to invest in relief efforts and in the people and places that make Western North Carolina and the Upstate special,” said Doug Davis, Regional Vice President for Spectrum. “Whether through our Community Impact programs, honoring community heroes, helping young athletes learn the value of teamwork, or supporting local family events, we are part of these communities and invested in their success.”

Local Communities in Greenville, South Carolina Benefit from Spectrum Partnership

Spectrum has made a cash contribution of $50,000 and $40,000 in-kind to help improve the Phillis Wheatley Community Center through a special SCCA event on April 5. SCCA - the Company’s philanthropic initiative to revitalize 100 local community centers and invest in job training programs throughout Spectrum markets – will host Company and community volunteers who will spend the day repairing and upgrading the community center. Spectrum will also donate electronic devices and dedicate a new training room to support the organization’s career training and technology programs.

At the conclusion of the revitalization event, Spectrum will host a Community Resource Fair, where Spectrum employee volunteers will distribute 200 kits of essential supplies including cleaning items, hand sanitizer, a first aid kit and more. The fair also will include participation from various non-profit partners and food trucks cooking local cuisine.

At a second event on April 5, Infinite Possibilities will receive a $10,000 donation through SECG, the company’s community-focused program that recognizes employees who volunteer for local nonprofits and provides grants to those organizations, which include homeless shelters, food centers, job training programs and neighborhood safety groups. The organization will use the funding for services that prevent the displacement of families and provide for unsheltered families. An additional 200 kits of essential supplies will be distributed at this event.

Additionally, Spectrum is bringing communities together through the sponsorship of local events and sports activities in the City of Greenville throughout the Spring, Summer and into the Fall:

  • Presenting Sponsor of the Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive from March 13 to August 28

  • Front Porch Sponsor of the TD Saturday Market from May 3 to October 25
  • Spring and Fall Adult Pickleball Leagues — Presenting Sponsor for the Spring league from March 11 to April 29, and the Fall league from August 26 to October 14

Spectrum also will partner with the Greenville Triumph (men’s professional soccer team) and Greenville Liberty (women’s pre-professional soccer team) to spotlight community heroes throughout the 2025 season.

Spectrum will make the same $50,000 cash and $40,000 in-kind contribution to the YMI Cultural Center, an organization that focuses on workforce development, mental and physical health services and youth development during an SCCA revitalization event on April 26 in Asheville.

Spectrum employees and community volunteers will gather to make repairs and other physical improvements to the YMI Cultural Center facility. Spectrum will donate devices and dedicate a new training room at the facility to support training and technology programs. Spectrum will host another Community Resource Fair that afternoon with participation from various nonprofit partners and food trucks.
