STAMFORD, Conn. — Spectrum today announced it has committed $400,000, including a $100,000 cash contribution to the Volunteer Florida Foundation, $50,000 to local organizations in the heaviest impacted areas, and $250,000 in in-kind public service announcement (PSA) airtime to support Hurricane Milton relief efforts. These contributions are in addition to the $1 million in support to the states impacted by Hurricane Helene. The $1.4 million in total Hurricane relief contributions will assist organizations in providing much-needed aid and assistance to impacted communities.
Nearly 45,000 Out-of-Home Spectrum WiFi Access Points Remain Open
Prior to Hurricane Helene, Spectrum opened nearly 45,000 out-of-home WiFi access points across Florida to be available to all users at no cost. These WiFi access points will remain open to provide connectivity during restoration efforts for Hurricane Milton. WiFi access points are typically found in public parks, marinas, city streets and other public areas and will help ensure available connectivity as the recovery continues. Spectrum Mobile and Internet customers will continue to get free, unlimited access to nationwide Spectrum Out-of-Home WiFi on‑the‑go. In addition, Spectrum is coordinating with state and local agencies to provide temporary connectivity to relief and shelter locations where possible.

Restoration Efforts
Spectrum technicians and engineers are actively working to restore service to impacted customers across Florida. Teams have been staged and ready to quickly assess damage, prioritize repairs and begin those repairs as soon as areas are deemed safe. The assessment process includes physical inspection of the network and advanced network monitoring to identify critical issues. While teams are able to begin many repairs as soon as they are identified, certain repairs require power to be restored first. Spectrum coordinates with local power companies to ensure we can begin those repairs as soon as possible once power is returned. Often, services are restored for customers as soon as power comes back online. Understanding the inconvenience of being without service, Spectrum will continue to provide daily updates on progress to customers. For regular updates and the latest information on restoration activity after the storm clears, customers should visit www.Spectrum.net/Milton.
