Spectrum Donates $100,000 to Support Texas Flood Relief

STAMFORD, Conn. — Spectrum today announced it is donating $100,000 to the Spirit of Giving Fund in support of relief efforts following the recent devastating flooding in Texas.

“We are making this donation to support the Spirit of Giving Fund and assist those who have been impacted by the devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country,” said Keith Dardis, Executive Vice President of Spectrum Business. “We know well the importance of strong connections, not just through the services we provide, but with the communities we serve and in which our employees live and work.”

More Than 180 Out-of-Home Spectrum WiFi Access Points Remain Open

Spectrum opened more than 180 out-of-home WiFi access points within a 30-mile radius of Kerrville. These WiFi access points will remain open to the public and will help ensure available connectivity as the relief efforts continue. Spectrum out-of-home WiFi  access points are typically found in public parks, city streets and other public areas.

Spectrum Mobile WiFi Trailers Deployed

In addition to opening its WiFi access points, Spectrum has deployed two Spectrum Mobile WiFi Trailers to the impacted area. Currently deployed in Hunt and Ingram, these trailers are being used to provide connectivity in high-need locations during relief efforts.
