Spectrum SportsNet Announces Los Angeles Lakers 2026-27 Live Broadcast and Programming Game Schedule

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Spectrum SportsNet today revealed its comprehensive programming and live game broadcast schedule for the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2026-27 NBA season. As the official television home of the Lakers, SportsNet will broadcast 72 live games total this season, including all five preseason contests and 67 regular season games. Preseason coverage this year includes a live broadcast of Lakers’ Media Day on Monday, September 28 at 11 a.m. Live game coverage begins with the preseason opener on Monday, October 5 at 7 p.m., when the Lakers face the Sacramento Kings. The regular season broadcast schedule kicks off on Friday, October 23 at 7 p.m., with a matchup against the Clippers.

SportsNet's Emmy award-winning Access SportsNet: Lakers pregame show returns for every game this season, bringing fans previews, insider insights and expert commentary. Postgame coverage picks up right after the final buzzer with player and coach interviews, game highlights and in-depth analysis from SportsNet's studio team.

The broadcast team will be led by veteran play-by-play announcer Bill Macdonald and analyst Stu Lantz. The 2026-27 season marks Macdonald's 17th year calling Lakers games. Lantz, a Los Angeles Area Emmys Governor's Award winner, will call Lakers home games in his 41st season with the team, while Macdonald will be joined on road broadcasts by three-time NBA Champion Danny Green as the primary analyst, with additional analyst details to be announced for the season. Green will also continue to contribute to the network's studio coverage. Mike Trudell returns for his 16th season as the team's sideline reporter, sharing duties with broadcaster Roqui Theus, a newcomer to the Spectrum SportsNet broadcast team.

Spectrum SportsNet studio programming will be led by veteran host Chris McGee and Lakers Hall of Famer James Worthy. McGee and Worthy have been side-by-side since the launch of Spectrum SportsNet in 2012. They will be joined on Lakers game nights by a rotation of NBA Champion analysts, including Robert Horry, Danny Green and newcomer Sasha Vujacic, who won two NBA titles with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010. Lakers insider Mike Bresnahan and host Allie Clifton will also contribute to Lakers studio programming, including the "Lakeshow Podcast."

Additionally, the Emmy award-winning Backstage: Lakers returns for its 15^th season, offering fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the off-the-court experiences of Lakers players, coaches and executives. The season premiere will air Friday, October 23 at 10:30 p.m., following the Access SportsNet: Lakers postgame show.
