New York, NY, June 8, 2017Spectrum News NY1 (NY1) today announced it will present "Build It Broke," a 30-minute special about New York City’s “Build It Back” program, on Wednesday, June 14 at 8:00 PM. "Build It Broke," an eight-month investigative piece by NY1 Staten Island reporter Amanda Farinacci, will examine the hurricane recovery program designed to help New York City residents with properties damaged by Superstorm Sandy.

Immediately following "Build It Broke," NY1 will televise a live one-hour town hall at the College of Staten Island at 8:30 PM. Hosted by Grace Rauh and Anthony Pascale, the live town hall will bring together Staten Island residents, city officials and advocates to discuss the special and examine the "Build It Back" program.
