“We welcome the launch of Spectrum News in Alabama,” said Governor Kay Ivey. “In bringing their programming here, Spectrum News will support coverage of the local stories that matter most to communities across Alabama through the lenses of journalists and reporters living here.”
With more than a decade of local journalism experience, Alabama native Jasmine Redus has been named Executive Producer for the network. Redus, who grew up in Huntsville, began her journalism career in 2014. She spent five years at WHNT News 19 in Huntsville, where she served in numerous roles including as morning executive producer and dayside executive producer.
"As a native Alabamian, I understand the key issues that are most impactful to our residents," said Redus.
