BUFFALO, NY – Spectrum News 1 today announced its new weekday and weekend news teams, naming Scott Patterson and Breanna Fuss weekday morning news co-anchors, Casey Bortnick, JoDee Kenney and Robert Guaderrama weekday co-anchors of the midday news, Marisa Jacques and Karen Edwards evening news co-anchors, Bortnick, Melissa Steininger and Mercedes Williams weekend morning news co-anchors, and Guaderrama alongside Camille Delongis anchoring the weekend evening news.

“In addition to being excellent journalists and storytellers, our anchors are respected and beloved members of the Upstate New York community,” said Alexander Quince, Senior Director, News, Upstate New York. “Our new anchor lineup, in concert with our community-based multimedia journalists, will continue to deliver the local news and stories that are essential to our viewers across Western New York.”

Fuss, who previously anchored weekend mornings, joins veteran anchor Patterson and meteorologist Dan Russell to wake up Western New Yorkers weekdays starting at 6 a.m. on “Your Morning on Spectrum News 1.”

Bortnick, Kenney and Guaderrama deliver a refreshed look at the local news and headlines, with area-specific forecasts from Russell, weekdays starting at noon on “Your Afternoon on Spectrum News 1.” While Bortnick is a familiar face to Buffalo viewers, Kenney is best known in the Capital Region where she’s been delivering the news to Spectrum viewers for nearly two decades. An Emmy Award-winning reporter, Guaderrama recently joined Spectrum Networks from FOX35 in Orlando, where he served as an anchor and reporter for the station.

Jacques, a native New Yorker, and Edwards, who previously anchored the evening news in Rochester, deliver a balanced mix of local news and headlines with hyper-relevant stories weeknights beginning at 5 p.m. on “Your Evening on Spectrum News 1.” Meteorologist Kaylee Wendt delivers area-specific weather updates, and sports anchor Kevin Carroll provides coverage of local high school, college, and professional sports.

On weekends, Bortnick, Steininger and Williams co-anchor the morning news starting at 6 a.m., while Delongis and Guaderrama co-anchor the evening news starting at 5 p.m. Meteorologists Brooke Zegarelli and Christina Reis deliver area-specific weekend weather reports.

Spectrum News 1 is available exclusively to Spectrum video customers on channel 1. Spectrum’s award-winning local news and original content also is available on the Spectrum News App, available to all Spectrum residential customers including internet-only.
