KENOSHA, Wisc. — Spectrum, the #1 rural internet provider in the nation*, today announced the launch of Spectrum Internet, Mobile, TV and Voice services to more than 1,000 homes and small businesses in Kenosha County, Wisconsin.

Spectrum’s multi-year Rural Construction Initiative is an investment of approximately $9 billion – partly offset by over $2 billion in government support funding – that will ultimately connect approximately 1.75 million new homes and small businesses across the country.

This network expansion project in Kenosha County was funded partly through private investment made by Spectrum. About 24.05 percent of the total cost of the project, which was $872,171, was financed with federal funds.**

“Spectrum is bringing gigabit broadband to unserved communities in Kenosha County and across America,” said Paul Navin, Area Vice President, Field Operations, Spectrum. “Our investment is making it possible to deliver the high-value broadband, mobile, TV and voice services now available in Kenosha County. We are providing local residents and small businesses superior connectivity at highly competitive prices, backed by a team of skilled local technicians and 100% U.S.-based customer service.”

Spectrum Business Internet offers customers 1 Gbps download speeds, with 400 Mbps and 600 Mbps options. The company has also begun a network evolution that will provide gigabit upstream speeds and multiple gigabit download speeds across its entire 41-state service area.

“Thanks to Spectrum’s expansion initiative, many residents in underserved areas of Kenosha County will get the internet access they have needed for so long,” said Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman. “We are grateful to have a partner that understands the needs of rural communities.”

“With Spectrum’s help and the investments directed by Governor Tony Evers, we are bringing high-speed internet to more homes and businesses in Kenosha County,” said Wisconsin Public Service Commissioner Marcus Hawkins. “This investment, which includes the first ever broadband expansion grant from the Public Service Commission in Kenosha County, will help connect the residents in our community to the digital tools they need.”

Spectrum Internet exceeded advertised download and upload speeds for all tiers measured — even during peak weeknight usage between 7 and 11 p.m. — according to the FCC’s most recent “Measuring Broadband America Fixed Broadband Report.”

Along with multiple broadband options, Spectrum services now available also include Spectrum Mobile and Spectrum TV®. Spectrum Mobile is the nation’s fastest-growing mobile provider*** and combines with Spectrum Internet and Advanced Home WiFi to provide seamless connectivity inside and outside the home.
