Charter Names Joe Yates Senior Vice President of Internal Audit

STAMFORD, Conn.  — Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) today announced that Joe Yates has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Internal Audit. Mr. Yates will report directly to the Audit Committee of Charter’s Board of Directors and administratively to Charter CFO, Jessica Fischer. He will lead all internal audit activities and oversee Charter’s payment card industry and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance programs, as well as fraud-oriented investigations. Mr. Yates, who will be based in St. Louis, succeeds Frank Faist who announced he will retire in early 2025 after leading Internal Audit for 16 years.

Mr. Yates most recently served as Group Vice President of Financial Accounting responsible for all financial accounting functions and monthly financial statement close procedures. Prior to that he was Vice President Accounting and Integration overseeing all accounting integration efforts for Charter’s 2016 transactions with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. During a stint in Field Operations, he served as Associate General Manager for Charter’s Missouri and Illinois operations. In addition, he served as Vice President of Audit Services and Deputy Compliance Officer from 2006 to 2011 and before that as Director and Manager as Financial Reporting. Prior to joining Charter in 2003, Mr. Yates held audit positions at Ernst and Young and Arthur Andersen in St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Yates is a Certified Public Accountant and received a B.S. in Accountancy from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.
