Charter Names John H. Higgins, Jr. Corporate Vice President of Customer Care

ST. LOUIS - The appointment of John H. Higgins, Jr. to Corporate Vice President of Customer Care for Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) was announced today by Mike Lovett, Executive Vice President of Operations and Customer Care. Reporting to Mr. Lovett, Mr. Higgins will oversee a comprehensive customer care strategy and work with Charter's field organization to execute tactics which will ensure an outstanding experience for customers in all interactions with Charter.

Mr. Higgins was previously a Charter Corporate Vice President of Government Affairs and Franchise Relations. He joined Charter in September 2003 from the Cable Telecommunications Association of New York where he was Vice President with overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of that Association. Previous to this he served in a variety of customer satisfaction, quality assurance, government affairs, and franchising roles with AT&T Broadband and TCI from 1995 to 2000. He was a staff member to New York State Assemblymember Steven Sanders from 1986 to 1995, rising to Chief of Staff in 1992.
