ST. LOUIS, Mo. and STAMFORD, Conn. — The St. Louis Cardinals and Spectrum, the connectivity brand of services offered by Charter Communications, today announced a multi-year marketing partnership that makes the connectivity company the Official Telecommunications Partner of the St. Louis Cardinals. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The new sponsorship agreement includes advertising rights on the Cardinals English and Spanish radio broadcasts, cardinals.com website and social media channels, along with the use of the team logo and sponsorship of the team’s pitching changes at Busch Stadium. As part of the agreement, Spectrum also will have prominent signage inside the ballpark including visible displays on home television broadcasts behind home plate and on the outfield wall pad in left field.

“Like the Cardinals, Spectrum is part of daily life for many in St. Louis, and working with the team gives us another way to connect with the people who live and work here,” said Sharon Peters, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer for Spectrum. “As the St. Louis region’s largest connectivity provider, we know what it takes to perform at the highest level. Sponsoring the Cardinals gives us a powerful platform to engage with fans, support the local economy and celebrate the passion that defines this community.”

With more than 31 million customers across 41 states, Spectrum is the No. 1 TV provider in the nation¹, with video packages geared towards sports fans and top streaming apps included at no extra cost. Spectrum’s focus on providing seamless entertainment and connectivity products – including the fastest and most reliable internet² and the nation’s fastest-growing mobile³ – complements the St. Louis Cardinals’ goals on and off the field throughout the season.

“We are proud to welcome Spectrum as the club’s Official Telecommunications Partner,” said Joe Pfeiffer, Cardinals Vice President, Corporate Partnerships. “This partnership is a natural fit given Spectrum’s deep ties to the St. Louis area and both organizations’ shared passion for connecting fans and reaching them in dynamic new ways.”

Charter Communications, Inc., which operates the Spectrum brand, was founded in St. Louis in 1993.
