Charter Names Jeffrey A. Harkman Vice President and General Manager of Georgia and Florida Operations

ST. LOUIS – The appointment of Jeffrey A. Harkman to Vice President and General Manager of Georgia and Florida Operations for Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) was announced today by Chuck McElroy, Senior Vice President, Southeast Division Operations. In this capacity, Mr. Harkman will have responsibility for all Charter operating groups in Georgia and Florida, comprised of 150 franchises serving more than 345,000 customers.

In making the announcement, Mr. McElroy said, “With his fifteen years in the telecommunications industry, Jeff has the expertise Charter needs to continue to improve our operational efficiency so that we can better serve our customers. Jeff has a proven track record, so I'm confident he will step in and immediately make a positive impact on all aspects of Charter's Georgia and Florida operations.”

Mr. Harkman most recently served as Senior Vice President of the Central California Region for AT&T Broadband. Previous to this, he worked for MediaOne in St. Paul, Minn. as Vice President/General Manager before that company's merger with AT&T Broadband. Mr. Harkman also has operational experience in the cellular telephone industry having worked for U S WEST Cellular and the Air Touch and AT&T Wireless Joint Venture.

Mr. Harkman earned his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from the University of Minnesota.
