Hedges and Schremp promoted, Bhise and Moloney join Charter
St. Louis - Key corporate marketing appointments were announced today by Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHTR), including the promotions of Barbara Hedges to Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing, and Ted Schremp to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Charter Telephone™, and the appointments of Himesh Bhise to Corporate Vice President of High-Speed™ Internet Product Management, and Chris Moloney to Vice President of Consumer Insights.
Ms. Hedges has been with Charter since 1999, working initially as Director of Corporate Development, and most recently as Vice President of Video Product Management. In her new role as Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing, Ms. Hedges will be responsible for consumer-focused segment marketing and customer contact strategies, and for leading implementation of those strategies across the organization. Prior to joining Charter, Ms. Hedges worked in investment banking for A.G. Edwards & Sons.
Mr. Schremp has served as Vice President of IP Product Management since joining the Company in May of this year. In his new role as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Charter Telephone, Mr. Schremp will have overall responsibility for the launch and successful operation of telephone related products and services across Charter's national footprint. Mr. Schremp was previously with Hewlett Packard, where he co-founded their Cable, Media and Entertainment organization. Prior to that, he held leadership positions with PNV, Inc., Comcast Cellular, WinStar Communications, and Cable and Wireless, Inc.
As Corporate Vice President of High-Speed Internet Product Management, Himesh Bhise is responsible for driving enterprise-wide product, marketing, and operations programs for high-speed Internet and related service offerings. Mr. Bhise joins Charter from America Online, where he has served in marketing, product management, and business development roles since 2003, most recently as General Manager/Vice President, AOL Mobile. He also served media and telecommunications clients at McKinsey & Company from 1996 to 2003.
As Vice President of Consumer Insights, Chris Moloney will lead Charter's marketing segmentation strategy, developing an understanding of customer attitudes, life-stage and behaviors, and translating that understanding into initiatives to grow and retain Charter's customers. With over 10 years in the industry of customer loyalty marketing, Mr. Moloney joins Charter from Parago, Inc., a Dallas-based integrated marketing services provider, where he served as Vice President and General Manager of their Loyalty and Retention Marketing division. Previously, Mr. Moloney led strategy for St. Louis-based Maritz Loyalty Marketing.
