Driving Technology and Cybersecurity
Jake Perlman leads the technology modernization and digital engagement efforts that create exceptional experiences for Spectrum customers and employees. Named Executive Vice President, Chief Technology & information Officer (CTIO) in 2025, Jake’s role fully integrates our software, engineering and technology operations, allowing the Company to deliver industry-leading products and services even faster. Jake oversees connectivity technology, cyber security, IT, software development and technology operations.
Previously, Jake served as Executive Vice President, Software Development & IT, leading multiple development and operations organizations including service experience technology that builds and operates customer and employee tools; artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) platforms; Spectrum Mobile and Spectrum Business systems; compute platforms; cyber security; labs and integration testing; software architecture; and internal IT. Under his leadership, the Company implemented its approach to AI and ML, which will enhance the customer experience, streamline operations and improve execution. Jake and his team have updated Company infrastructure through a holistic approach of dozens of micro-transformations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. These efforts included the implementation of new systems to aid construction, human resources and credit risk initiatives.
Jake’s Career Progression
Following the Company’s 2016 transactions with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, Jake served as Senior Vice President, overseeing shared software services, video and voice engineering, and lab infrastructure and deployment. In those roles, he helped create a unified support experience for the newly formed company and supported the launches of the Spectrum TV App, Spectrum Guide and Advanced WiFi. Prior to that, Jake was Chief Information Officer at Bright House Networks. Jake spent much of his earlier career at Qwest and CenturyLink (now Lumen) rotating through various areas of Information Technology while gaining increasingly senior roles.

Jake serves on the National Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of the USA. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. In 2025, Jake was honored at the Cable Hall of Fame Celebration with the inaugural Innovation and Intrapreneurship Award for Excellence, recognizing leaders who have driven meaningful and positive change in the industry.
