Spectrum Expands Customer Service Operations, Adding 400 Jobs and Opening New Spectrum Mobile Call Center in Amherst, New York

AMHERST, N.Y. – Spectrum today announced the opening of a new Spectrum Mobile customer service call center in Amherst, which will create 400 new local customer service positions.

The new 88,000-square-foot call center is located at 3920 Main St. in Amherst. Representatives provide comprehensive technical support to Spectrum Mobile customers from throughout the company’s 41-state service area, ranging from new device activation to answering customer questions about mobile features. Spectrum’s customer service call center in Cheektowaga’s Appletree Business Park will continue its focus on support for Spectrum TV®.

The Amherst facility boasts impressive amenities that promote a comfortable work environment, including large, programmable sit/stand workstations designed to facilitate optimum support and productivity. Expansive lunchroom and break areas provide natural light to support a positive atmosphere for employees to recharge and maintain focus throughout the workday. The new center joins the company’s four other Mobile Repair and Activation sites in Austin, Texas; Garfield Heights, Ohio; Kansas City, Missouri; and St. Petersburg, Florida.
