The Safe and Healthy Home Kit
Share Article:
We’re excited to introduce another important part of the Charter our Community initiative: our Safe & Healthy Home Kit! We’ve partnered with Rebuilding Together and Lowe’s to create these kits, which feature easy-to-install and use products to help make your home safer and healthier.
In addition to these items, inside the kit you’ll also find tips on maintaining a safe and healthy home. We worked closely with our Charter our Community partner Rebuilding Together to make sure our kit contents were in line with the Home Principles endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General and developed by the National Center for Healthy Housing.
What’s inside the kit?
Within the Safe & Healthy Home Kit, you will find a variety of useful items that you can put to use as soon as you open the box. These include:

Who can get a kit?
While at this time there are no official selection criteria in determining who is eligible to receive a Safe & Healthy Home Kit, the Charter our Community program is targeted towards improving the homes and lives of low-income homeowners. There is no obligation to receive a kit. They are free for Charter customers and non-customers alike.
Where can you get a kit?
For the rest of 2015, we’re distributing kits in just a few selected markets – on a first come, first served basis – within the Charter Communications service area. Individuals in these locations will be informed of kit distribution event dates and times. We’re planning on expanding the program in 2016 and we’ll be adding more locations where you can get a kit, so be sure to check CharterOurCommunity.com frequently and sign up for our newsletter below to receive updates on the program.
If you’ve already received Safe & Healthy Home kit, we’d love to hear how it is making your home safer and healthier. Be sure to tag us on Facebook or by tweeting at us @CharterCom, using #CharterOurCommunity.
