Talk to Friends and Family Around the Globe for over 4 Hours Each Month for Only $20

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 13, 2007--Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) now offers Charter Telephone customers additional value and convenience through the Worldwide 250 Calling Plan. Already a great value, Charter is bringing its customers an international calling service that allows a customer 250 minutes to call over 200 worldwide destinations for an additional $20 per month, with no hidden fees and no per-minute or connection charges.

The service was officially launched at International Institute of St. Louis, the nationally recognized, 88-year-old St. Louis agency which helps refugees and immigrants to independence by providing a broad array of social services for new Americans to more than 8,000 men, women and children each year.

"Because we believe that the Charter Worldwide 250 Calling Plan will make distant places feel a little closer to home, we chose to launch this new service at the International Institute," said Ted Schremp, Charter Telephone Senior Vice President and General Manager.

With the Worldwide 250 Calling Plan, Charter Telephone customers can initiate international calls for up to a total of 250 minutes each month for $20, eliminating traditional phone company, country-based pricing for customers calling internationally and avoiding the inconvenience of purchasing prepaid calling cards.

Instead of paying a monthly international plan fee plus per-minute rates or having fees subtract minutes from a phone card, Charter's calling plan allows calling to more than 200 destinations for one low price per month to stay in touch with friends and loved ones and stay within a budget.

"Phone calls are the main connection for many immigrants to home cities and villages throughout the world," said Anna Crosslin, President and CEO of International Institute St. Louis. "Our clients need an easy, safe, reliable and inexpensive means to stay in touch with those they have left behind."

Charter Telephone has grown its footprint to pass more than 7.6 million homes and is already recognized for its unlimited nationwide calling plan, which offers customers unlimited local and long distance calling for the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. "Now, our customers can talk for 250 minutes to friends and family around the globe for only $20 per month," said Mr. Schremp.

"Charter's Worldwide 250 Calling Plan is another example of our investment in improving the customer experience," according to Mr. Schremp. "Because we're part of each community we serve, we're committed to building long-term relationships with our customers by efficiently delivering value-added services and providing quality, convenience and compelling value through our triple-play bundle of services."

The Worldwide 250 Calling Plan must be ordered in addition to Charter Telephone's standard unlimited local and long-distance calling plan, starting at $29.99 per month with no per-call or connection charges. The Worldwide Plan is for calls made to landline phones only. For more information go to www.charter.com/internationalcalling.
