Charter Names JoAnn Cavallaro Vice President of Customer Care

ST. LOUIS - The appointment of JoAnn Cavallaro to Vice President of Customer Care for Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) was announced today by Carl Vogel, President and Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to Margaret A. "Maggie" Bellville, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Cavallaro will guide the development of a comprehensive customer care strategy and work with Charter's field organization to execute tactics which will ensure an outstanding experience for customers in all interactions with Charter.

Ms. Cavallaro was a founding partner of Decava Consulting, a Boston firm that works with companies to implement operational strategy and facilitate change in transforming customer care organizations. Previous to this, she was Vice President of Operations for (the former) MediaOne in Andover, Mass. Ms. Cavallaro also worked for (the former) Century Communications as both Senior Vice President - Eastern Region and earlier as Vice President of Customer Care and Training. She began her career at SBC/SNET (formerly Southern New England Telephone) in Connecticut, serving last as Senior Director, Consumer Services.

In making the announcement, Mr. Vogel said, “With more than twenty years in the telecommunications industry, JoAnn understands the true meaning of customer care. We will look for her to lead a collaborative effort across all functions to ensure sure we take an effective approach to strengthening and supporting the performance of all employees who interact with our customers. With JoAnn as our ‘chief customer officer,' we know we can make quality customer care the advantage that differentiates us from the competition.”

A graduate of Marymount College/Fordham University, Ms. Cavallaro is also a graduate of the Executive Development Program at Duke University. She completed the Leadership Program at the Radcliffe Institute in Cambridge, Mass. and the Emerging Leaders Program in New Haven, Conn.
