Brandon Sherer Named Central North Carolina News Director for Spectrum Networks

Raleigh, NC – Spectrum Networks today announced television news veteran Brandon Sherer has joined the team as Central North Carolina News Director, reporting to Spectrum News Group Vice President, Alan Mason.
“We're thrilled to have Brandon join our team in Central North Carolina,” said Mason. “Brandon brings a wealth of knowledge about the Raleigh, Durham and Fayetteville news markets and extensive leadership experience to Spectrum Networks.”
Sherer will be responsible for overall planning, execution and evaluation of news coverage and strategy for Spectrum News Central North Carolina. He will be based out of Raleigh.
Sherer joins Spectrum Networks with more than 26 years of experience in television management and production, including 13 years as the Assistant News Director for WTVD-TV (ABC 11) in Raleigh-Durham. Prior to WTVD-TV, Sherer served as Assistant News Director at WBAL-TV in Baltimore, Maryland and News Director at KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Sherer was also an executive producer and senior producer for stations in Des Moines, Iowa and Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Sherer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Iowa.
