Spectrum Spotlights Women’s History Month With On Demand Collection of Movies and Documentaries
Lineup Includes Free and Pay Titles, Including 'A League Of Their Own,' 'Battle Of The Sexes,' 'Frida,' 'Hidden Figures,' 'The Hours' and 'Woman Walks Ahead'

Spectrum will celebrate Women’s History Month with an On Demand collection of movies, including access to free action-themed movies, and a curated compilation of titles for rent spotlighting key women throughout history.
From March 5-18 free movies will be available On Demand under the Fierce And Fabulous category, depending on Spectrum TV customers’ level of service. Featured titles include “Girls Trip,” starring Regina Hall, Queen Latifa and Tiffany Haddish; “Ghostbusters,” the supernatural comedy starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon; Angelina Jolie in “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon in the iconic “Thelma & Louise,” and all four movies of the “Hunger Games” franchise with Jennifer Lawrence.
Spectrum TV customers can also enjoy films and documentaries in the Women In History category, which runs from March 5-11. Movie titles include “A League Of Their Own,” with Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Madonna and Rosie O’Donnell as fictional members of the first female professional baseball league; “Battle of the Sexes,” starring Emma Stone as Billy Jean King in a story about her historic tennis match against Bobby Riggs; “Frida,” featuring Salma Hayek as the larger than life Mexican painter; “Hidden Figures,” starring Octavia Spencer, Taraji P. Henson and Janelle Monáe in the true story of three African American women in pivotal NASA roles during the Space Race of the 1960s; and “Woman Walks Ahead,” featuring Jessica Chastain in the story of painter Catherine Weldon, who travels West to paint a portrait of the Lakota leader Sitting Bull in the 1890s.
Documentaries featured in the Women In History category include “Bethany Hamilton: Unstoppable,” about the renowned surfer who lost her arm in a shark attack; “Love, Gilda,” a unique look at comic Gilda Radner; “Kusama: Infinity,” about internationally-acclaimed Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama; and “Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am,” in which the late author talks about her life and how her work explored race and American history.
