New York, NY – Spectrum News Texas today announced the launch of "In Focus with Liz Jeneault," a new 30-minute public affairs program set to debut on Sunday, August 27 at 9:30 AM in Texas.

The first episode of "In Focus with Liz Jeneault" will discuss how the state of Texas views the topic of school choice, the movement to allow public education funds to follow students to the schools or services that best fit their needs—whether public, private, charter, home or any other learning environment parents choose for their kids. Jeneault will be joined by Texas State Representative Dan Huberty; Peggy Venable for the Texas Public Policy Foundation; Ann Beeson of the Center for Public Policy Priorities; Retired Teacher and Association of Texas Professional Educators Vice President, Byron Hildebrand; Association of Texas Professional Educators Executive Director, and parent Agatha Thibodeaux.

“As the Chairman of the Texas House Public Education Committee, I was honored to work with 'In Focus,'” said Texas State Representative Dan Huberty. “The education of the students of Texas is such an important topic so it seems fitting to have chosen this as the focus of their first episode."

Each week, "In Focus with Liz Jeneault" will feature a roundtable of newsmakers representing a full range of local community perspectives, including government officials and expert analysts as they tackle one topical issue of importance to Texans. "In Focus with Liz Jeneault" will air Sundays. Spectrum News Texas is an exclusive channel of Spectrum.

"In Focus with Liz Jeneault" is the most recent addition to Spectrum Networks’ exclusive line-up of "In Focus" programs. Hosted by award-winning reporters and anchors, "In Focus" marries high-production value with thought-provoking, hyper-local issues-based conversations with key policy makers and influencers. It is currently available to Spectrum customers in New York City, the Capital Region in New York State, Ohio, Florida (in Orlando and Tampa), North Carolina and California.
