New York, NY – Spectrum News North Carolina today announced the launch of "In Focus with Loretta Boniti," a new 30-minute public affairs program set to debut on Sunday, July 23 at 11:30 AM in North Carolina.

The first episode of "In Focus with Loretta Boniti" will tackle opioid addiction in North Carolina and what can be done to fight the growing deadly epidemic. Boniti will be joined by North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein; Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Mandy Cohen; North Carolina State Representative Greg Murphy; Healing Transitions Executive Director Chris Budnick; New Hanover County District Attorney Ben David; and Chief District Court Judge J.H. Corpening.

“It’s exciting to see Spectrum News create more in-depth programming to take North Carolinians deeper into the issues we face,” said North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein. “It’s particularly gratifying to see 'In Focus' tackle the opioid epidemic – one of our state’s toughest and most important challenges – during its first show.”
