Charter Unveils Premium Entertainment and More for Charter High-Speed(R) Customers on Redesigned Charter.net

New Charter.net Website is Fastest Growing ISP Portal Service Today

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2007--Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) has announced the launch of www.charter.net, an enhanced home page for Charter High-Speed(R) Internet customers to view online content from top entertainment channels such as IFC, SHOWTIME and several channels from MTV Networks, including Nickelodeon, COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV and VH1. The website allows customers to view full episodes and sneak preview content from these premium channels, access email, conduct Google searches, and receive up-to-the minute news.

The new charter.net offers unique entertainment features that visitors are enjoying including long-form programming from Nickelodeon like SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents and Drake and Josh among a host of Nick programming. SHOWTIME, HBO and VH1 are also offering some of their most popular programs in full-length and short form. Season premieres of television shows, such as SHOWTIME's Dexter and Weeds and replays of past seasons' episodes such as USA network's Battle Star Galactica are available. VH1's Celebrity Fit Club as well as clips from HBO's Entourage and Flight of the Conchords and programming from Nickelodeon, MTV, IFC Uncut, Comedy Central, FX and HAVOC are also offered on charter.net.

ComScore, an Internet audience measurement service, tracked more than four million unique visitors logging onto charter.net monthly, which makes it the fastest growing ISP portal service today(1). According to Mr. Bhise, the redesign of charter.net was undertaken to provide high-speed Internet customers with a convenient home page "that not only provides the basics, such as email with 10GB of storage per household and Google search, but now entertains with premium video content as well. The revamped charter.net website provides compelling content and delivers a wide variety of services.

The new charter.net website can be easily customized according to personal preference from a wide range of valuable content and services that also include:

  • Video on Demand content from cable networks including: Exclusive video features and special programming previews, behind the scenes footage, full-length episodes, news stories and movie trailers;

  • Google Web Search;

  • Up-to-the-minute news, sports, weather, movie listings, horoscopes, games and local event listings; and

  • Charter email with up to 10 individual email accounts per household, each with 1GB of storage.
