Charter Promotes Wayne Davis to Chief Technical Officer

ST. LOUIS -- The promotion of Wayne H. Davis to Chief Technical Officer for Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) was announced today by Carl Vogel, President and Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, Mr. Davis will maintain his responsibility for Company-wide network engineering and technology strategy related to data, voice and video, together with technical operations, purchasing and the deployment of new technology.

In making the announcement, Mr. Vogel said "Wayne Davis has played an effective role as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations. His technical acumen and operations wherewithal have served us well in finding economies of scale. It pleases me very much to reward him with this well-deserved promotion."

Mr. Davis has more than more than 25 years experience in cable engineering, technical operations, and operations management, beginning his career at Jones Intercable in 1984. Subsequently he became Senior Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technical Officer, and also held the position of Vice President of Engineering for Comcast Cable Corporation when they acquired Jones. He became Vice President of Engineering for Charter's (former) Western Division in 2001, and assumed responsibility for engineering and outer market operations for the Company's (former) National Region. He served as a member of Charter's Management Services Group from August, 2002, until his promotion to Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations in March, 2003.
