Charter Names Sharan Wilson Vice President/General Manager Fort Worth Metroplex

DENVER -- The appointment of Sharan Wilson to Vice President/General Manager of Fort Worth, Texas Metroplex Operations for Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) was announced today by Lee Clayton, Senior Vice President of Operations for the Midwest Division. In that capacity, Ms. Wilson will have overall responsibility for all Charter operations in the greater Fort Worth area serving some 180,000 customers.

Throughout her career, Ms. Wilson has been employed in senior operations roles, developing the strategic direction for companies in the telecommunications industry including Wireless Broadcasting Systems of America, Inc.; Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI); Netlink; United Artists Cable Corporation; and Daniels and Associates, Inc. She was most recently head of her own consulting firm that specialized in working with companies to implement operational strategy, financial analysis and all facets of organizational change.

In making the announcement, Ms. Clayton said, “Sharan's track record is impressive, consistently exceeding operational and financial objectives. She's spent her entire career in this industry as a proven leader. And now, she will lead our Fort Worth team as Charter works toward our common goal of providing the best products and services at a great value." Ms. Wilson fills a position held by Dan Spoelman who has been named Vice President of Charter's Western Michigan Operations.

Ms. Wilson received a Masters degree in communication from the University of Nebraska and a B.S. degree in journalism, cum laude, from the University of Nebraska. She also completed executive development programs during her career and was honored by CTAM with the Chairman's Award for Extraordinary Leadership, the NCTA Vanguard Award for Leadership and was named a WICT Woman of the Year.
