Charter Names Baxter to Lead Southeast Customer Care

ATLANTA - The appointment of Kevin Todd Baxter to Vice President of Customer Care for the Southeast Operating Division of Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHTR) was announced today by Chuck McElroy, Senior Vice President of Operations. He succeeds Tracy Pitcher, who has been appointed a Project Leader in Charter's Focus on Excellence Initiative.

"Todd's background in customer care for a number of communications clients is ideal for his position with Charter," said Mr. McElroy. "He has a proven record of customer focus and I'm pleased to have him join the Southeast Division team."

Mr. Baxter comes to Charter from Convergys Corporation in Heathrow, Fla., where he most recently was Vice President of Operations. In that position, he managed the company's relationships with Internet access, cable and broadband clients. His responsibilities covered eight locations in North America with over 3,000 employees.

In previous positions with Convergys, he had customer care responsibilities and directed support systems for clients.

A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Mr. Baxter holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
