Charter Communications Announces Personnel Changes in Its Legal Functions

Suzanne Curtis Moves Into New Role of GVP Law, Regulatory – Video and Broadband and Nicole Paolini-Subramanya Joins Charter as GVP Law, Programming
Stamford, CT– Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) today announced personnel changes in its legal functions. Suzanne Curtis, previously Group Vice President, Legal, Operations, will be taking on the position of Group Vice President, Law, Regulatory – Video and Broadband and Nicole Paolini‐Subramanya has joined the company as Group Vice President, Law, Programming.
In this role, Suzanne will advise business leaders to ensure the company complies with the wide array of regulations that apply to Charter’s video and broadband products and services, including privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations. Paolini‐Subramanya will oversee the legal team responsible for negotiating and drafting all multichannel content acquisition agreements, including linear and digital rights.

Since the close of the transaction with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, Curtis has been acting as the Company Compliance Officer for purposes of the FCC’s merger order and will continue to do so going forwards.
Curtis has worked at Charter for 10 years supporting operations and government affairs. A graduate of Williams College and Santa Clara University, School of Law, Suzanne started her cable career at Continental Cablevision in 1995 and worked in the law departments of MediaOne and AT&T Broadband. Over the course of her career she also worked as outside counsel focusing on communications clients at Graham & James, Cole, Raywid & Braverman and Strategic Counsel.
Suzanne sits on the executive committees of the California Cable & Telecommunications Association and The California Channel. Previously, she was appointed by California’s former Governor, Gray Davis, to the California Coastal Commission.
Paolini‐Subramanya joins Charter after five and a half years with CBS Corporation, where she served as Vice President, Senior Counsel. She was chief attorney on the CBS deal team overseeing the negotiation of retransmission consent deals for CBS’ portfolio of 29 owned-and-operated television stations - including CBS Television Network, The CW Network, MyNetworkTV, and independent O&O stations, and the multichannel distribution of CBS Television Network video on-demand content on both traditional and digital platforms. Prior to CBS, Paolini‐Subramanya served as Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs at NBCUniversal where she helped draft and negotiate carriage deals for NBCU's owned-and-operated stations and cable networks, as well as digital distribution of content across a variety of platforms. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Tulane University School of Law, Paolini‐Subramanya began her career in the industry with the law firm Cinnamon Mueller, where she specialized in content acquisition and FCC regulatory issues.
Both Curtis and Paolini-Subramanya will report to Cliff Harris, and will be based out of Charter's corporate headquarters in Stamford, CT.
