Charter Appoints Steve Krupinski Executive Vice President of Administration

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2005--The appointment of Steven J. Krupinski to Executive Vice President of Administration for Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) was announced today by Neil Smit, President and CEO. Mr. Krupinski will have overall responsibility for Human Resources, Communications, and Facilities.

In making the announcement of Mr. Krupinski's appointment, Mr. Smit said, "Steve has a history as a strategic change leader with a track record of improving organizational capabilities and effectiveness, operating efficiencies and financial performance. We're fortunate to have attracted him to our senior management ranks."

With over 25 years' experience as a human resources professional, Mr. Krupinski has worked in both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies, including most recently TWC Inc., a human resources consulting firm; Dialogic Corporation, a developer of computer telephony hardware and software which was acquired by Intel; Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, a global supplier of business information; and Bell Laboratories, the former research and development division of AT&T.

Mr. Krupinski is a Cum Laude graduate of Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology. Mr. Krupinski also completed the Strategic Human Resources Management Program at the Harvard Business School, and received a Certificate in Employee Relations Law from the Institute of Law and Applied Management.
