Charter Annual Meeting of Stockholders to be Held Tuesday, August 23, 2005

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 22, 2005--Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) ("Charter") will hold its Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the "Annual Meeting") on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 10:00 AM PDT at the W Seattle Hotel, 1112 Fourth Avenue, Seattle, WA.

The Board of Directors has set the close of business on July 29, 2005, as the Record Date for determining who may vote at the meeting. All stockholders as of the Record Date are invited to attend the Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting will be webcast live via the Charter's website at www.charter.com. The webcast can be accessed by clicking on "About Us, Investor Center" on the top right of the home page. The webcast will be archived on the "Investor Center" in the "Presentation/Webcast" section on the left beginning two hours after completion of the meeting.
